You pay for the clips you export. Transcripts are free, five a day; beyond that, credits also cover extra transcripts, AI summaries and translations, and uncaptioned videos longer than your plan listens to. Free to start: a free account comes with three clips, 720p or 1080p, no card, no watermark. Several moments in one transcript can be cut in a single press, and each finished clip is one credit — 1080p on any paid plan, 2K on Studio, 4K on Pro with AI Enhance included. Any monthly or yearly plan also makes transcripts unlimited (fair use: 50 a day) and includes an AI summary and translation of every transcript. Without a plan — on a free account or a pack — the same credits pay for them: 1 credit per transcript past five a day, 1 per AI summary, 1 per translation. On any account, an uncaptioned video that runs past your plan's listening limit is 1 credit per extra 20 minutes, up to 60 minutes. The price is on the button before you press it. Nothing is taken for a clip or a transcript that fails, and an AI summary or translation, charged when its first part arrives, can be asked for again free. Prices are before tax: Stripe adds any sales tax, VAT or GST due for your country at checkout and shows it before you pay.

Multi-clip export is per clip, not per batch. Mark up to 5 moments in one transcript — ten on Studio, twenty on Pro — and cut them in a single press. Each finished clip is one credit, exactly as if you had cut them one at a time; the button saves you time, not money. A clip that is refused or fails inside a batch costs nothing and does not stop the others.
2K and 4K are AI upscales, honestly labelled. No source this product fetches arrives at those sizes; the paid tiers run every frame through an upscale model. When a source is too soft to carry the resolution you asked for, the render is refused and nothing is charged — we do not sell smear with a resolution label on it.
A render that fails is never charged. A credit is spent when a finished clip is actually delivered, so a failed job costs you nothing and retrying is free.
Pack credits never expire. Plan credits run with the plan. A credit pack is bought outright and sits on your account until you spend it, however long that takes. A plan’s credits are the month’s (or the year’s) allowance: they arrive when the period starts and lapse when it ends, and the next period brings a fresh set. If you cut in bursts rather than every week, packs are the honest choice.

The questions worth answering before money changes hands
Pack credits do not. Buy fifty and use them over two years if that is how your work goes — they sit on the account until spent. Plan credits do: a plan hands you that period’s allowance, and whatever is left lapses when the period ends and the next allowance arrives. If your cutting comes in bursts, buy a pack; if it is steady every week, a plan is cheaper per clip.
No. A credit is spent at the moment a finished clip is delivered, so a job that fails costs nothing and retrying is free. The same holds inside a batch: one clip refused does not stop the others and does not take a credit with it.
No. Credit packs are a one-time purchase — from $3 for ten clips, no card kept on file, nothing that renews. Plans exist for two other situations: steady weekly cutting, where the per-clip price is lower than any pack, and work that needs what only the upper tiers unlock. Neither makes a subscription the only way to pay.

For videos we have to listen to, Creator covers 20 minutes and is otherwise the same capability as a pack for clips — up to 1080p and batches of five — bought monthly at a lower price per clip.
